Purely Prema in a Global Audience
“My blog, Purely Prema, was envisioned by my daughter Megan several years ago, but I had to wait for my blog voice to appear. I thank my daughter as I look forward to the time I sit down to write my thoughts and feelings in short studies, from my world to yours.”*
It was through serendipity that I finally tried out my voice. Taking a Certified Life Coach course in 2012, I had learned at the very end, previously unawares, that a website would be required; I didn’t want to do this. My enrollment had been for my enrichment in learning and not to have a practice. It was then that I remembered Megan’s encouraging words that I ought to do a blog, and I turned to her for help. From an inquiry, I learned that this would be accepted.
Megan’s vision was: “Purely Prema,” clustered jasmine, and a beach scene that characterized my nature and my writing. Her inspirations complimented my words of invitation: “Each of us lives in a different world. In Purely Prema, I share mine. You are warmly welcomed!”
My first writing effort produced six stories. I thought that they would be posted weekly, as it had taken days to write them, and I knew that I needed equal time to write more. When Megan told me that she had posted five the first week, I’d emailed, “What!”
“Your blog needs stories, Mom.”
Over the first months she sent encouraging, descriptive comments of how the blog appeared to her; her words opened my eyes and gave me the courage I needed to believe that I could do this.
“BTW, your requirements are perfect. Well thought out, appropriate for you, concise. Blogs are most successful when they feel open and honest.
“While there is continuity in the writing, the fact that they are not truly chronological is not necessarily a detractor. However, I would suggest you consider categorizing the posts. Can be 2 categories, can be 20. It will help people find what they seek faster. And no, don’t go all karma and say that the first thing they lay eyes on is EXACTLY what they need to see right at that moment. I’m sure the people looking for your type of ministering have graduated from simplistic philosophical concepts.”

“Yes, your photos are WAY better than stock, or someone else’s. And I for one, sure like to
see photos of your life this way, versus pages of printed thumbnails. They’re livelier, and in
context.”
February 2014
“Howdy, just wanted to say that I'm very proud of you for reaching a point in your life/writing
career, that you are able to deliver your ideas in such an accessible and organized way.”
Rosie Pearson joined our team in 2012. Her editorship took my stories to a true publication level. Recognizing my gift, she added hers: assuring clarity, coherence, engagement by voice and detail, with accurate authoring of spiritual views overlaying the worldly that I was seeking. By now, our cooperation has achieved two-hundred-and-forty-four stories posted.
.
My blogger description has, in part, drawn citizens of the following countries, whether in curiosity or readership, to open Purely Prema, in a truly amazing tribute to a global population open to spiritual views.
“Author and poet Prema Jasmine Camp shares stories and lessons of her journey through life, from spiritual awakening to Meher Baba devotee.”

My realization is, “What each of us contributes may affect one or many; it is our effort to make a difference that matters.”
